Sculptural Form Meets Meaningful Design

We’re honoured to share that Irisadre’s Sculptural Wave Plate has been featured in the January 2026 edition of Food & Beverage Magazine, a publication read by chefs, designers, and hospitality professionals around the world.

In the piece, the editors highlight what has always driven this work: a belief that everyday tableware deserves intention, craft, and a sense of calm presence. The Wave Plate wasn’t designed to shout for attention. It was created to hold space for food, for ritual, and for the moments that happen around the table.

Crafted in small batches between Ojai, California and Portugal, the piece is shaped by artisans who work intuitively with clay. The soft, undulating curves, inspired by natural forms and the movement of fabric, catch light and shadow in a way that feels alive, even when still. Each plate is unique, from the way the matte glaze settles to the subtle rise of its edges.

The magazine feature underscores something we’ve always felt: great design doesn’t just present food, it frames it. The Sculptural Wave Plate transitions effortlessly from a functional serving piece for charcuterie or bread, to a quiet, standalone sculptural object that enhances a room’s visual language.

What has been especially meaningful is seeing this piece embraced by chefs, stylists, and everyday cooks alike, people who care not only about flavour but about how the objects around them shape experience. This recognition feels like an invitation to continue creating work that lives in real homes and real meals, pieces made to be used and cherished.

Thank you to Food & Beverage Magazine for spotlighting this piece and for the thoughtful words around craft, form, and purpose. As we head into 2026, we’re more inspired than ever to keep building a collection that supports connection, presence, and good design at the table.
